What do we do with all the people that we don’t become? Through a formal combination of poetic imagery and lyric poetry, In Fugue confronts the difficulty of choices we make to shape our lives whilst knowing that the person we are is at the expense of all those we could have been. Introspective and subjective, the work combines the dreamlike with the familiar; both the poems and the images are iterative, suggestive of possibility and variation; the work is formally circular, ending up in the life that one is living.
